Quality and Inclusion Team

What we do

The Quality and Inclusion team are experienced and expert Early Years and Childcare Advisers offering support, guidance, challenge and training to ensure the Statutory Requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) are met.

Our aim is to support and challenge every early years provider in Lewisham to offer a high quality, inclusive educational experience for every child in the early years.

Providers include; nursery schools, primary schools nursery and reception classes, Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) providers and childminders.

The team also allocates, monitors and coordinates the Early Years Inclusion Fund and supports providers with guidance, advice and strategies to enable them to meet the needs of children with SEND.

The team works with a range of different partners (LA and external) to ensure consistent messages about high quality early years practice and provision and support other services and teams working with children in the EYFS.
