Two Year Old Funding

Lewisham 2’s

A child may take up a 2-year-old early entitlement place in Lewisham if the following criteria has been met, please see link below:

An application has been made to Lewisham council online via the link below https://schools.lewisham.gov.uk/ParentPortal/default.aspx

If the applicant is eligible this will be confirmed by the Family Information Service via letter to the parent.

Extended Criteria

Extended criteria cannot be confirmed via the parent portal, a paper application is required. The application must be sent to the Free Entitlement Team  early.entitlements@lewisham.gov.uk along with evidence of the criteria met, the eligibility will be confirmed via a letter to the parent. Please see link above for criteria.

A non-borough resident must apply with Lewisham Council to be eligible.
 
The hourly rate for a 2-year-old is £9.22

Once eligibility is granted it is valid until the child moves into the 3 year old universal entitlement, a term following their 3rd birthday.

In addition:

• An eligible place can only be taken up after the eligibility has been confirmed.
• A child can take up a place a term after their 2nd birthday, please see table below:
