There is additional funding that the child/setting may be able to access.
EYPP (Early Year Pupil Premium)
DAF (Disability Access Fund)
Inclusion Fund
Please refer to your provider agreement for more information.
EYPP
The Early Years Pupil Premium is for disadvantaged children accessing 15 hours funding and/or on Free Schools Meals. It is paid termly.
To apply, the parent will need to complete an EYPP form which the school will keep for their records. The EYPP box in the child’s record on the Portal should be ticked and the parents details should also be entered. This should be reviewed every term as a parent’s circumstances may change. If successful, the school will be able to check for entitlement as EYPP will be seen on the portal in the child’s record under the Child Weighting column.
We have created this EYPP poster to help promote in your setting.
DAF
The Disability Access Fund is extra funding for children who receive Disability Living Allowance. This is a yearly amount of £910.
To apply – the provider must complete a DAF application form and send it to Free Entitlement with a most recent copy of the DLA confirmation letter from DWP.
We have created this DAF poster to help promote in your setting.
Cross Checking the School Census with the Provider Portal
Please complete and refer to the Variance template recording any variation between these submissions.
Please detail the variation for each term for your 2, 3 & 4 Year olds as this has an impact on the amount of funding received by the local authority and by yourselves.
Please identify the reasons for the variation, for example, rising 3’s or a paid place.
Please ensure that this form has been verified by the Headteacher and then emailed to early.entitlements@lewisham.gov.uk
Inclusion fund
Providers can apply for Inclusion Funding for a child in their setting if they meet the ALL of following criteria:
- They are either; a 4, 3 or 2 year old accessing the early entitlement (15 hours entitlement for disadvantaged 2-year-olds, 15 hours entitlement for children aged 2 years and under of working parents, 15 hours universal childcare, or 30 hours extended entitlement)
- The setting provides additional SEN support which is above what would be provided for all children
- Assessments of the child, demonstrate a delay of more than 12 months in two or more areas of learning
Please note providers may apply for ‘repeated funding’ for a child who has accessed Inclusion Funding previously.
Alongside the application form, detailing how funding was used to support the child and what impact it made, SEN support planning must be included. E.g. ‘This is My Plan’.
An application form will be sent via email to each setting and school. If additional copies are needed please email inclusion.fund@lewisham.gov.uk
Once completed the form should be emailed securely to inclusion.fund@lewisham.gov.uk
