Refer families to Sharing REAL

Sharing REAL is a free four-week programme designed to help parents and carers support their child’s early communication, language and literacy through simple, everyday activities at home.

Early Years settings can play an important role in identifying families who may benefit. Please consider referring families who would welcome practical ideas and support around talking and listening, sharing books, songs and rhymes, and early mark-making and writing.

How to refer:
-Speak to the parent or carer first and explain what Sharing REAL offers.

-Share the flyer with your parents/carers or with their agreement, share the family’s details with the Sharing REAL programme lead via email lauren.campbell@lewisham.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can use the booking link The Hub @ Lewisham - Family Hubs Sessions or QR code on the flyer to sign families up.

Sharing REAL can be particularly helpful for families who would benefit from building their confidence in supporting learning at home — families do not need to have an identified concern or additional need to be referred.
