Ofsted preparation – and beyond

Our Early Years Ofsted Inspection Preparation Toolkit is now available to support settings and childminders. While it is designed to help you feel prepared for inspection under the new framework, many settings are finding it equally helpful as a self‑evaluation and quality improvement tool.

The toolkit brings together:

• Key information about what to expect before and during inspection
• Local learning from Lewisham settings recently inspected
• Example questions and prompts to support staff confidence
• Tools to support reflective conversations about teaching, learning and inclusion

The aim is to reduce anxiety, build confidence and support authentic conversations about everyday practice.
