PVI SENCO Network and Professional Development Session - (virtual)
Join us for a dynamic online Early Years SENCO Forum, bringing together early years SENCOs and professionals to connect, share practice and strengthen confidence in an evolving SEND landscape.
This forum will feature a professional development session delivered by the Specialist Educational Psychology Team, exploring the vital role of attention and executive functioning in children's learning, communication and social development.
Drawing on developmental research and practical, everyday approaches, the session will provide an overview of executive functions, the stages of attentional development in the early years, and the attentional differences that children may experience. Participants will gain practical strategies to support early attention through positive relationships, environmental adaptations and engaging learning opportunities, with a strong focus on creating inclusive experiences for all children.
Alongside the training, the forum will include local and national SEND updates, opportunities for networking and professional dialogue, and dedicated time to reflect with colleagues on current challenges and effective approaches in practice.
