EYFSP Moderation & Good Practice Sessions For Reception Teachers and EYFS Leaders in Schools (face to face)

The Department for Education (DfE) expects all Local Authorities to provide moderation and good practice activity to support Reception teachers’ professional judgement in completing the EYFS Profile.

While schools are no longer given statutory moderation visits annually, the DfE is clear that:

Reception teachers & EYFS leads involved in EYFSP assessment. Whether you're new to moderation or looking to refine your approach, these sessions will build your confidence and ensure accurate, consistent outcomes for children.

Optional: Bring Along What You Know

You're warmly invited to bring assessments for three children — these could be learning journeys, photos, or simply reflections from memory. No pressure to bring formal evidence — just come ready to share what you know about a child in your class.
